Privacy policy
Pretty Pooches Ltd ("Pretty Pooches", "we") provides the booking + billing platform that grooming businesses use to run their bookings, payments and customer communications.
Operator data we collect
When you (the operator) sign up, we store your business name, your name, your email address and, once you connect Stripe, the Stripe account identifier needed to send payouts. We do not store card numbers — Stripe handles all of that.
End-customer data — who is the controller?
When a pet parent books with your salon through Pretty Pooches, you (the operator) are the data controller for that customer's personal data. Pretty Pooches is the data processor: we hold and process the data on your behalf, only for the purposes of running your bookings, payments and reminders. Your customers should see your own privacy policy on your booking site (we ship a template you can edit).
What we process on your behalf
To run a booking on your behalf we process: customer name + email + phone, pet records (name, breed, size, coat, temperament, notes), booking history, deposits charged via Stripe Connect, and the reminder logs (WhatsApp / email / SMS sends + delivery receipts). Address data is processed only when a booking is collect-and-return or mobile.
Sub-processors
We engage the following sub-processors to deliver the service: Stripe (payments + subscriptions), Resend (email), Meta WhatsApp Cloud API (WhatsApp), Twilio (SMS), Entri (domains), Google / Mapbox (travel-time distance matrix), and our infrastructure host. A current list is available on request.
Your data — export + delete
As an operator you can export every record we hold about your business + customers at any time from the back-office. You can also delete your account; we'll tombstone bookings (anonymising the customer identifiers while keeping the booking + tax trail intact per Art. 6(1)(f)) and hard-delete everything else.
Retention
Booking records are retained for 7 years to satisfy tax + dispute obligations, anonymised after account deletion. Magic-link tokens and refresh-token hashes are retained only as long as they're valid. Notification logs are kept for 12 months for delivery troubleshooting and usage metering.
